The pale coloration and light blue hair demonstrates the subjects lifelessness. I quite enjoy the darkened eyes. I always found that the eyes would be the most effective median for artists to demonstrate the thoughts, ideas and emotions of the subject. By removing that insight you dehumanise the subject and through a veil of shadows over their history, their emotions and their intentions towards you.
This is why the technique is so widely used in action and horror films and games- by removing the targets humanity the watcher feels no remorse at the targets death or pain. This is effectively used here to show the young girls soullessness, but at the same time sorrow towards her.
I felt really attracted to this image at first sight
speacially for her gaze, empty and full of thoughts at the same time.
The low saturation and the hard contrast were greats elections to make it powerful, excellent gain.
I also noticed how important's the position of her arms, perhaps tryng to keep herself secure.
The use of sclera lenses made it perfect, gave it a mood.Maybe it's the most important part of the image, in my opinion...
Perhaps a texture on it could help to make it entirely intense, but anyway ,It's one of the most incredible horror pictures I've ever seen,Loved it.
